In their ‘Batman International’ series, DC gave the Batman of Japan and his sidekick (‘Shy Lolita Canary’, formerly a member of Super Young Team) a transformation system built into their version of the Batcave.
Unless, of course, that’s going to be the “twist,” that TOBY got out there and was hit with the globe and TYLER is back in the clearing. (Leaves you to wonder what happen with Tyler’s helmet, but, such is life.)
Kinda far-fetched, though.
That’d mean Toby, in trying to get the chaos goop away from him, took Tyler’s place to save him from it and thus got “reunited” with it. It also makes one wonder why it hasn’t more “stably” bonded back with him.
It’d also mean that Sarah’s and Lester’s information about Tyler being were he was supposed to be was erroneous and false. And that would make the mysterious yet powerful P&G less awesome.
Lastly, it’d mean the story would need one heckuva flashback or similar to explain how it was done or what actually happened- something not cheap or convoluted or out-of-the-blue.
So, of course, it’s possible. But I wouldn’t bet on it.
“Leaves you to wonder what happen with Tyler’s helmet…”
Um…in the 2019-04-24 comic, it’s a bit melted. I’d guess that whatever the goop is, it can wreck anything that doesn’t actively resist. Fortunately, Tyler is still making his Willpower checks.
The 2019-02-17 comic shows Toby inside, and the 2019-04-24 shows Moonshadow’s broken helmet after the boomerang with the chaos on it came back (2019-03-11). I’m pretty sure its Tyler and no goofball switch is happening.
It’s Toby’s foot, and yes, it looks like he’s basically “melting”, or being returned to his “normal” state of non-existence, since his existence itself is a paradox.
I certainly hope so, because the prospect of an underage protagonist winding up in his underwear after having his clothes dissolved by tentacled chaos goop while being handed over as merchandise to characters of unknown alignment would be, well, an unexpected dark turn for this comic …
Type or not, any set of “undies” there will probably be a full costume – or a set of clothes left by sb leaving in a costume – or not leaving ever again?
When John Byrne was writing She-Hulk around 1989, it was mentioned that her underwear is Comics Code Authority specification and doesn’t come off. Um, times change – but, anyway, both the family and the school clothes store, if there is one, I forget, probably choose top-grade super-power-resistant Cotton Code Authority product.
I also don’t remember whether The Flea has threatened to punish an enemy by infestation. Could Tyler already be bugged?
To change into their costumes? Almost missed that. Tyler could be dressed by this machine. I’m guessing he will be ignored for a minute while this finishes and suddenly Moonshadow is walking around.
Not likely since they modified the machine to suck chaos goop and similar off people. It probably doesn’t dress them up anymore- and if it still can and does, it’ll have to be programmed first to put a costume on Tyler. I’m pretty sure it doesn’t have the design of Moon Shadow’s costume.
Well, if I were to posit a condition that indeed does get the machine to dress Tyler up as his alter ego, what about a mind-reading interface that takes costume design straight from its user’s thoughts? That makes it easier for metahuman allies of its previous owners to get dressed up. It would also allow for quick and easy costume modification and upgrading.
I am pretty sure that the whole point of the machine was that it dresses buffed-up FISS or similarly invulnerable bricks in skin-tight suits (…like it’s painted on…). Tyler wants strong padding and armor. The machine would probably go “ERROR: Insufficient materials for desired output.”
Incidentally that’s exactly how Spidey found his “black replacement costume”. Everybody else used the correct machine … then they pointed him in the general direction.
Maybe it can reconstruct the costume from the bits that came in with Tyler – so everything but the helmet, right? If it’s a ‘matter-separator’ now, presumably it can get the goop off of the outfit Tyler was wearing just as efficiently as getting it off Tyler himself. One assumes the Revenant was smart enough to provide super-activity resistant clothing to his student.
I have always wondered exactly WHAT the machine Spidey found was SUPPOSED to do? I mean, did someone actually sit there and say; “Hey, Clem. You got the costume design machine over there, what do I do with this homicidal parasite device?”
So is this the point at which the “Destiny” that makes Murphy and Melphast itch takes effect and Tyler becomes the Moonshadow of his classmates imaginations?
So that’s how supers get into those skin-tight outfits.
I’m reminded of another webcomic where Batman and Robin change into their costumes in a sequence based on Sailor Moon. (Sadly no longer available.)
In their ‘Batman International’ series, DC gave the Batman of Japan and his sidekick (‘Shy Lolita Canary’, formerly a member of Super Young Team) a transformation system built into their version of the Batcave.
It’s either still available or there are two.

If it sucks the chaos out of Tyler himself along with the sphere gunk, wouldn’t that make him even MORE normal?
Looking back, I’m pretty sure that’s Toby, actually. Oops.
That’s Tyler. The chaos goop boomeranged on him as he tried to get it back/away from Sarah.
Unless, of course, that’s going to be the “twist,” that TOBY got out there and was hit with the globe and TYLER is back in the clearing. (Leaves you to wonder what happen with Tyler’s helmet, but, such is life.)

Looks like he came to the right place for help. Nobody else would have that kind of equipment.
So this is what Peter needed to get Venom off him, not some stupid bell.
They might work the same. This could be emitting waves of order to kinetically direct the chaos.
Lester’s looking very suspicious… just about how I feel about the conspiracy among the other three. This might be the test of his journey.
Aaron has revealed some secret background information about the nature of P&G – but you need to be a Patreon … https://www.patreon.com/posts/open-for-29741553 .
A.) Is that Tyler’s foot in panel #2?
B.) If so, did Aaron just draw it a little weird, or is the Chaos Goo melting him?
It’s Toby’s foot, and yes, it looks like he’s basically “melting”, or being returned to his “normal” state of non-existence, since his existence itself is a paradox.
That’s Tler. Toby is still back at the party, probably trying to figure out how to explain this to the Lovecraftian guy.
It’s Tyler, and the goo is just pouring over the top of his foot. The goo is melted, his foot is normal.
Underwear … That’s it? They don’t have a spare set of pants for him?
I think it was a comment on fear and needing ‘brown pants’. . .
As they were expecting him and are prepared; it’s probably a brown pants comment but also saying to fetch the set of clothes prepared for him.
I certainly hope so, because the prospect of an underage protagonist winding up in his underwear after having his clothes dissolved by tentacled chaos goop while being handed over as merchandise to characters of unknown alignment would be, well, an unexpected dark turn for this comic …
That’s true, but P&G don’t seem the type. And I’m sure they’re after the goop and not Tyler himself.

I think it’s a reference to a previous comic, where he says he can feel the goop in his underwear.
No, he says it’s in his ear.
Ummmm… Tyler’s body outline is not looking very human any more.
To change into their costumes? Almost missed that. Tyler could be dressed by this machine. I’m guessing he will be ignored for a minute while this finishes and suddenly Moonshadow is walking around.

That would require some amount of chaos …

Would the chaos that ate the costume have the design?
I have always wondered exactly WHAT the machine Spidey found was SUPPOSED to do? I mean, did someone actually sit there and say; “Hey, Clem. You got the costume design machine over there, what do I do with this homicidal parasite device?”
Maybe it was a trap constructed by the symbiote itself?
So is this the point at which the “Destiny” that makes Murphy and Melphast itch takes effect and Tyler becomes the Moonshadow of his classmates imaginations?
You know I love this comic but I finally figured out what seemed to be a little weird about it.
Have you noticed that no matter how bad or horrible things go none of these rather young children actually break down and cry ?
