…
Forak.
Of course.
We really should have seen this one coming. Although, really, feeding the fansite/paparazzi and now making up a super team? Though I suppose it could be construed as an extension of the former. Clearly what drew the Headmaster’s attentions.
This will end rather badly, I suspect.
Also, I think Aaron needs to check the timecode/default timezone setting on the site. Claims it went up on 08-04 at 12:01am. The hell’s it set to? just before the date line?
Not much point in fleeing… super speed and flight don’t help much when the person chasing has them too (and to be honest, is a hell of a lot more competent at it).
This might BE Forak’s top speed. Also, 84 is apparently fast even for a FISS, so I don’t think Forak has any reasonable chance of escaping her vengeance.
Okay, the first time was only mildly pathetic and well intentioned, but now he’s just basically reached the point where I fully expect Julie/84 to tell him to get the hell out of her life and stay gone.
I’m not sure how much of this is Forak’s fault, and how much is 71’s. 71 is the FISS who started the website about 84, and I suspect Forak is talking to 71 on the phone in this scene. To begin with, Forak doesn’t expect to be having any real troubles with 84 today. It’s just another training day, and his main concern is do the training at a location where the paparazzi can film 84 while she’s working with him. I think when Forak says “Not that I know of…”, it’s probably a response to 71 asking if 84 is doing anything special or newsworthy today. Forak then sees that 84 has arrived and is angry. He quietly tells 71 he will talk to him later. I think 71 asks Forak if 84 is angry, to which Forak replies “Yeah. How’d you guess?”
I think it was 71 who wrote whatever Miss Kyle just showed to 84, so he can guess why 84 might show up looking angry.
Change of lesson plans, Forak gets to practice a landing following being punched out of midair. A useful and often under valued skill. Having to pick yourself back up and out of an impact crater just invites your attacker to come and kick you… while you are down.
84, or her parents, may need to look into getting a dedicated PR consultant and legal representation about how her image is permitted to be used, and so forth, at this rate.
These coloured instalments have been very informative.
Until recently, I thought Zodon wore a helmet, and now I know that dome is his ACTUAL HEAD. No wonder he’s always in a hover-chair; his 5-year-old body can’t possibly support that dome…! And the longer he stays in the chair, the less likely it will ever grow strong enough to do that job. Sad, really.
Actually, that headband is an anti-grav unit designed specifically because of those cranial issues. I’ve seen a few theories that the hoverchair is a reference to Xavier, who had one for a while (most notably in the 90s cartoon).

On post time: the feed may be slow. I’ve seen it happen with other sites.
If 84 was an adult, Forak would be using his super speed and flight to get the hell out of Dodge.
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned – and this kind of betrayal is worse.

No spoilers though I can see how a third to the whole of this arc will go depending on if twists get added.
“84 is the number of punches I will deliver to a certain numbskull in the next few seconds if he doesn’t start talking.”
Nice way for 84 to make a batman interrogation of Forak.
I foresee a lot of “full speed landings” in Forak’s near future…

And don’t forget MODOK.
