I mean, it kind of was already. They just didn’t notice, being too busy being Zodon’s distraction to realize the time to start trying to leave was more or less as soon as feasible.
This would be a wonderful time for Ron and Tyler to make an appearance with something faster than foot speed and armored against debris as well. They probably need Lester and the Manacle before they get directions out, though.
What, you think it doesn’t already look like the Batcave? Computer terminals, odd weapons, costumes, dimly lit (because he keeps the curtains closed to prevent his being spied on),…
The problem with Cecil getting first a Cloak of Chaos (my term), and a magic staff is that Cecil is supposed to be anti-superhero, anti-magic. His “power” is detecting people with superpowers. But he’s slowly becoming a true magical user, at least with the artifacts he has (the cloaked techno-organic starship in orbit with an advanced AI notwithstanding).
“anti-superhero, anti-magic” is less Cecil’s schtick and more Tyler’s. Cecil is mainly conspiracy theorist/geek, so collecting all sorts of fantastic stuff is still within his concept.
Going on 3 months seems to be a particularly long break without any update on why, or if it’s gone.
Last time I saw a break this long, it was RPG World, which wound up becoming a permanent stop to the webcomic. Hope that isnt what’s going to happen here. I wonder what’s causing the break, if it is a break.
Fully agree its quite long, and hope that it doesn’t become permanent.
From what I understand these breaks are due to the creator’s paying work taking priority over this, since any income from the comic is probably quite minimal.
I just did a dig through the archive to see how frequently he’s been updating ps238 recently. It looks like ps238 was updated once every week (or two) prior to 2019. In 2019 he started updating ps238 once a month. In 2021 ps238 was updated once every two or three months.
If updates this year come out as often as they did last year, we should see an update soon. (Hopefully)
Full Frontal Nerdity is still routinely updating. I figured that the author was sick of ps238 over a year ago. Im not sure if he reads these comments. I think this is the deathknell of ps238. I just wish he would say so. I do like it enough to throw some money at it, but that doesnt really help with internal motivation. I think it would be best if he just announced the comic was over.
Even a small announcement would be lovely. I still check everyday, both here and Use Sword On Monster, and would love to know if I can stop. It’s definitely a downer first thing in the morning to still see no updates.
And the shop has become a FLEE market.
I mean, it kind of was already. They just didn’t notice, being too busy being Zodon’s distraction to realize the time to start trying to leave was more or less as soon as feasible.
Oh WELL DONE.
Hey, look! Cecil has another trophy item acquired from an adventure to add to his growing collection.
This is not what the Blue Light Special was like at K-Mart.
Has “Please remain stationary” ever worked when an eldritch horror was summoned?
In The Manager’s favor, they did say “please”. This is a significant improvement over “I order you to”.
If it accompanies “This creature reacts to movement” or “You are currently in a warded area, and leaving it will expose you to further danger”, yes.
It also didn’t work well in ‘Mars Attacks!’
If that’s Chaos incoming, Cecil at least is on good terms with them.
Blasting holes in a magic shop seems like a bad idea…
Also glad to see the comic back after its hiatus!
Didn’t we already establish Packman physics? Blast an exit?
A portal or something might work. There is probably around 4 exit methods that would work.
Well, up and down it does. Horizontally, it’s still up in the air.
“Code beige in ASILE five.”
That thing is even warping out the public address system. 😀
Now playing: “As the World Falls Down”.

This comic used to be 3 times a week, now it seams to be once every 3 months.
Yeah, I have to imagine he’s tied up with paying work. I’m hoping this isn’t the beginning of him winding down the story completely.
The three a week schedule was posting already published material.
Yup. At this point I’m also pretty sure Aaron is retired and is only finishing off the stories he’s started, not trying to do them for publishing.
Though he does stay pretty well on top of FFN.
Unfortunately, I think doing three comics at once is stretching Aaron too thin.
Confiscation AND refurbishment? That means things are going to get even more messy…
If they want to sell it after confiscating it, than it HAS to be refurbished.
And Cecil flees with something else to add to his collection.
His bedroom is gonna look like the Batcave soon.
What, you think it doesn’t already look like the Batcave? Computer terminals, odd weapons, costumes, dimly lit (because he keeps the curtains closed to prevent his being spied on),…
Don’t forget the command chair from the spaceship.

He could feel that they were different and assumed they were aliens, he was anti-alien. Once he learned they were supers, he had no problem with them.
“I am a
bomb technicianeldritch horror specialist. If you see me running, try to catch up.”“If you see me running, please remain stationary and maybe buy me a few seconds.”
“Meanwhile, here’s some light music.”
They turned off the light music.
-Adams, The Restaurant At The End of the Universe
They’d better hurry. At the rate things are going this store turns into an Omega-Mart in about negative three seconds.
Don’t forget we still have two operatives loose in the
basementGarage not accounted for since last year (a few minutes ago comic time).Just hit me that when FLEA asks if running might be a good idea, running is DEFINITELY a good idea.
So is this comic gone? Should I delete it from my favorites?
Nah. It just goes through long breaks from time to time depending on the creator’s workload.

As of 5/5/22, it will be five months. I’m beginning to be concerned.
Incase of a system issue on the site, posting to check what date appears when this posts.

Sorry, FOUR months.
Even a small announcement would be lovely. I still check everyday, both here and Use Sword On Monster, and would love to know if I can stop. It’s definitely a downer first thing in the morning to still see no updates.
I was kind of hoping we’d reach an arc conclusion before I gave up, but here we are.
USoM went longer, might switch to checking every week instead of day though.
