They don’t think that highly of tyler, true. But I think they are rational enough to blame THE PERSON WHO ACTUALLY BLOWS UP THE EDF BASE, rather than any of the undoubtedly large number of bystanders.
If something does go wrong, who would be the most likely suspect?
Toby’s guests who responded to his invitation, or the Toby-look-alike and his uninvited, unpowered cohorts (i.e. at least Sarah and Cecil) who crashed the party?
Pretty sure they would run themselves in circles to not believe that a normal child is capable of blowing up the tower on purpose.
Also kid clearly has shape shifting, or illusion powers we likely invited him.
And I know you want to be a super hero/ miss being a super hero but you need to understand that this place is not safe for you sorry kid.
To them were helpless not evil(we might be evil but too helpless for that to really matter). Heck they might like Revenant in a look he thinks he is people way if he did not have to gaul to succeed.
I do sincerely hope that Tyler was not IN the HQ when it got wrecked… Tho then again, that would probably have been one of the few instances where there was parental care from the Powers because I dun think theyβd appreciate THAT π
Well, Bernard doesn’t act out unless annoyed, bored or otherwise inspired to do so.
Safe and warm in mom’s womb, all meals on time, he may have been calmer and more peaceful than he has been ever since.
Yeah, Rock, but all that pushing and squeezing at the end is sure to uncomfortable, then you move for warm and wet to dry and cold; no wonder babies cry. Bernard, instead, transformed.
Really young children can get superpowers, in this universe at least. Check out the PS238 info-videos at the beginning: one of the kids tested for super-strength.
Would it be a reasonable assumption that Children of Metahumans (as a rule, exceptions put aside such as Guardian Angel) are quicker to grow into their power or have it from birth, whereas Metachildren of Normals are slower in that regard? 84 came into her powers at six, if I remember properly. Whereas indeed Bernard, whose father at least was a metahuman was BORN with his powers and Xavier, of two metaparents, at least came in far earlier than Julie?
I always enjoy the Revenant calls, primarily for the background detail on who/what the Revenant is fighting this moment. It is sort of a running joke, though – it seems most of the time Revenant calls Tyler, he is in the middle of a super fight or base raid. I suspect that says something about how the Revenant thinks, because we know from Tyler’s actual training and the episodes with Cecil that, while Revenant does get into fights with supers quite often, it’s not 24/7/365. So either Revenant is making a point to Tyler by calling during the more dramatic moments, or that’s just how the guy’s mind works: when he is fighting someone, some part of his mind reminds him about other chores he should be doing.
My parents-in-law usually phone while they are driving. Their bodies are occupied, but their brains and voices are free. Some people make quips while fighting crime. Others are too terrified to pay attention to do anything else. The Revenant completes his daily call sheets.
We’ll, the saying goes that if you want something done, give it to a busy person…
I think that the Revenant is probably quite focused leading up to the fight, but when he’s in the moment of a fight I can easily imagine he might achieve moments of clarity, when things like remembering to pick up laundry soap, and wishing Tyler well at the party would come to him.
It seems the Revenant is growing concerned that Tyler is losing out on the better parts of childhood. Loving and supportive parents already seems like a lost cause, barring something unexpected. If he can’t relax and have kid-style fun, as well… It could be bad.
Oh poor, poor Tyler.
I feel kind of bad for Erich Zann, there. It’s not really his fault.
You think Tyler has it bad now, wait until he gets blamed for the EDL tower getting destroyed.
There’s no way the Powers are going to blame themselves or Toby.

Its easy enough. They just blame him for being unable to save it.
I was wondering what happened to Violins Jack. I guess Second Trombone couldn’t make it.
Is that, the music teacher from The Simpsons? o_O
Bat-airhorn! (Rev-airhorn?)
If Adam West pulled out the BatHorn, it would have been bright orange.
And clearly labeled “Bat Horn.”
Rev-uvuzela. The Fun Size model.

Actually I’m pretty sure they were disappointed the incidents didn’t bring out or give him superpowers
Do INFANTS get powers already? From what I gathered, they come later at like 3 or something :/
Sure they do. Just watch the short “Jack-Jack Attack” on youtube. You’ll be glad you did. π
Bernard (the blue hulk-expy kid) seems to have been born hulked-out.
Which means that he was probally hulked out in-utero too. I feel so bad for his mom.

Hardly surprising, though. Xavier Jordan’s parents are quite powerful supers: 12152006

It’s the Fiddler π
On the roof?
It’s tradition.
Now for the interesting question: Which headquarters was it that got wrecked when Tyler was a Pebble Shadow? The moon one? The orbital headquarters?

Maybe Tyler does have a super-power, but it’s picking exactly the wrong time to enter a room/conversation/call someone? π
He didn’t call though. The Reveneant called HIM.
Nah, he’s making a point to the bad guy.
“I can kick your arse AND make a casual phone call to my protege about something completely unrelated, at the same time!”
It seems the Revenant is growing concerned that Tyler is losing out on the better parts of childhood. Loving and supportive parents already seems like a lost cause, barring something unexpected. If he can’t relax and have kid-style fun, as well… It could be bad.
So not only is the Revenant a Batman with less angst, but he’s also a better parent than Bruce Wayne was to any of the Robins?
Joking aside (which is half serious), that’s pretty sad. π
Given a choice between the two, I’d vote for the Revenant over Batman every time.
Every.
Single.
Time.
Especially, since the Revenant is sane, which Bats is clearly not.
Well. Sane as any bad ass normal risking life and limb fighting villians with super powers can be.
