I never knew you could remove paint like that.

I’m 90% sure he’s a metahuman who is magically (or, you know, at least super-powered-ly) changing the sign, not somebody cleaning dust or a layer of paint off so perfectly with mundane means that it reveals a shiny but long-hidden sign beneath.

In fact, if they’re a professional super-duo, he might be “Glory.”

Or magical. Let’s not forget that the superhero genre also includes fantasy elements. Doing what they’re doing with a broom seems more in-line with magical powers than anything else.

Please ignore my reply, Segev. This was meant for Mouser below, but I made a mistake.

That said, I do very much like the idea of two supers named “Power & Glory”. It just sounds nice and right.

I’m 70% sure we saw him making signs during the class president episode.

I couldn’t find him. 🙁 Could you cite where?

Tick Tock using time powers to change a sign back?

I suspect “Tick Tock” is not his name but an expression telling him to hurry up.

Reminds me of those magic colouring books.

Forgive me for asking the obvious, but who are these people? If anyone remembers them from a previous issue, please remind me.

They’re new, and are using something to make the sign that suggest they’re either powered or have access to future-tech.

      For those that missed it:

Future-tech? Like time travelers? That is SO COOL!!

Are you coming to this conclusion just because the lady in the grey coat keeps referencing time? Because, if so, I like the way you think.

Could be anything, but brushes don’t work like that!

          Also? That’s SO a time-traveler’s coat!

It could be a sonic broom.

Perhaps, but Tom Davison has got the Doctor Who reference covered.

Or he could just need a tool to focus his powers such as a paint brush, or that big scrubber for larger works.
Of course, it could just be camouflage/misdirection in case somebody did notice them, they’d probably blow it off as mundane if they weren’t paying close enough attention.

With the confused Confederate/Union Theme and the “Power & Glory” sign, I’m gonna guess they’re a new America-themed superteam setting up their clubhouse/headquarters.

        “For:
Here is a Land full of
        Power and Glory
Beauty that words can not recall
        For Her Power shall rest
On the strength of her Freedoms
Her Glory shall rest on Us all…”

          Thanks.

Since my money’s on magical superheroes, I’m very intrigued by them being patriotically-themed. I can’t help but think about the idea of “American mage”.

How can this be a new issue, when Aaron didn’t put a “class dismissed” in the bottom corner of the previous page ?

It might not be a new issue. I could be a side story that is in the same issue.

It says “Volume 11”, where the previous volume 10 was made up of a single issue “84 and the ones before”.

    Art critique:
Panel 1: Woman’s proportions (head in comparison to rest of body) look like that of a kid or teenager.
Panel 3: Woman looks older, more adult or, at least, Angie’s age.
The dude is more consistent, but I can’t tell his age.

My impression is just the opposite; in the first panel the lower foot is at about the fourth rung down, and his waist is about level with the top of the ladder, and in the last panel the lower foot is at the third rung down, and the top of the ladder is chest high. Some of that may be the ladder, though…

The person on the ground (I dare not make suggestions as to gender cause MEEP) kinda reminds me of the flaming person on the middle panel here: http://ps238.nodwick.com/comic/2016-02-12/

    Related or same person?

I’d guess neither – the nose is different. Wouldn’t be willing to bet more than the price of a diet Pepsi on it, though. And ditto on gender. I’ve been cautious making assumptions about that since finding out Alec was a boy.

Not only is the girl (“CITATION NEEDED”) rocking a very time traveller coat, but in the last panel she’s going full William Hartnell with her hands! 🙂

Basically, it appears to me that the two of them have just bought the swap shop and are setting up some sort of freelance hero company with the two of them as “Power” and “Glory” respectively. And they might be waiting for some sort of business contact of some sort.

A brush which removes a crack, along with the old paint, AND makes the sign light up? If so, that’s QUITE a brush.

BTW This storyline has been going on for the past 4 years with no end in sight. Color pages really take so much longer.
