I wonder why her power wants to send her into the sun, maybe its wants to prove its still useful by preventing that she is melted.

I’d say her power was just acting to keep her from being caught by the adults. Her guardian has shown itself to be somewhat unintelligent about long term consequences in the past.

You can tell they’re over reliant on super-tech for solving things instead of just shredding and burning the blueprints (not like they don’t have plenty of supers who could have burned them to ash after all), but they just had to use a big high-tech dohicky to launch them into the sun.

You forget about the girl in the rainmaker program that can “put things back to a previous state by concentrating hard.” They don’t want her or anyone with a similar power to get ahold of the blueprints ever.
