It has to do with the choice Taylor had to make. Remember powers had come before but in the past the person in the chare chose people were not ready for powers.
From what I understand this would have ended differently if the monsters did not try to make all humans into monsters. Sadly if there’s one thing the Nodwick universe shows is that the world proberly wasn’t ready for superpowers.

This was one of those past times
given everything that happens, Nodwick is probably the one that makes the choice
Given the amount of danger and death in Nodwick’s time, whoever made that choice probably thought they were doing the world a favor.
Too bad the Dark Ages weren’t much of an improvement.
Got it in one!
And this allows Aaron to do other Heroic Ages as well. Atlantis, anyone?

“It would take very little to tear this place apart…”
What with Nodwick and company upstairs, is anybody else hearing the sound of Chekov’s gun being cocked?
Kidnapping yourself seems to be a trend in this series. Maybe Lyle saw her backstory and got the idea from there.
