I always thought Hershel was masquerading as the janitor. You gotta admit, he looks the part.
Herschel introduces himself as the Head of Maintenance in issue 0, the “Student Handbook”.
Herschel IS the janitor. It’s just not ALL he is, or even near to the GREATEST part.
In a place like PS238, more than one janitor would be a necessity, I think.
And so we wave farewell to one of the greatest characters in this comic. Harold’s beard.
I still miss him.
