Forak was an adult. This clearly is a teenager (in keeping with the story being about, at least, young people; he might be as young as 12, in 6th grade, keeping him technically in elementary school). So unless there’s age reduction as well as power introduction going on…
I am curious what’s up with the character, though.
Ladies and gentlemen, presenting the Argosian with the most (toys), the one, the only, Forak! Yes, the government mandated Atlas 2.0! (Please try to carry an umbrella when walking the streets of Wonderburg for the next few months folks…)
So, repeated 8G turns are not a good idea. You can survive them, but your lunch may not.
With Julie as his tutor, what can go wrong? So is that supposed to be Argonaut, some random Argosian, or somebody else?
David, don’t you recognize Forak? Surely you’ve been wondering where he’s been all this time? Right? Sigh. Forak gets no respect. 🙁

OK, you haven’t seen him for a while… Take a good look at his face, then go back to Issue 42…
OK, his face didn’t have this expression in #42 though =)
It is different from his previous job. And certainly a step up from the mines:

Poor Forak. He just can’t win, he just goes from one set of lunatic masters to another.
Um…. 84? Evasive maneuvres would be advisable right about now.
Cue the Greatest American Hero theme.
