Correction. Now he isn’t a threat. Not only that we have just made a successful test in stripping the powers away from one (half-breed) of our kind. Now if any other factions try to rebel we can use them on them to strip them of their powers make them harmless (and properly worthless too). Earth has become a weapon’s production factory for us now.
On the bright side, at least Tyler doesn’t have to worry about Argo’s temper tantrums any more. I’m sure he’s a much more effective hero when he doesn’t have to worry about shattering someone’s ego.
Dax-Ra doesn’t want to kill Ron, he wants
! And since Dax-Ra has the knowledge of the only planet where Argonite can be found, he’s got an Ace up his sleeve to play against the other nobles too! Seriously, he should grow a moustache so he can twirl it while he laughs maniacally!
Is it any wonder that The Singularity is annoyed with jerks like the Argosians and Emerald Ones coming to its planet in order to
it?
Speaking of The Singularity, it is the big MacGuffin the two sides are fighting over. But what do they want from it? Stay tuned to find out!
There are a few details of Dax-Ra’s plans that are going to be revealed in tomorrow’s page. In addition, revealing what the Argosians and Emerald Ones want The Singularity for will ruin the reveal of just what The Singularity is and can do.
It’s temporary, as Dax-Ra himself shows. Atlas used Argonite on him just last issue (and only a few days ago in the actual in-story timeframe), if you recall, and he’s floating around just fine now.
It’s based on Argonite, so we can assume that the rays it fires will have the same effect as the radiation from Argonite. It might last a bit longer because it’s focused into a beam, but it should otherwise have more or less the same effects.
I won’t entirely rule out long-term consequences, though, mostly due to the way PS238 deconstructs and reconstructs common superhero tropes.
Interesting ploy, but… it’s generally NOT advisable to do this kind of thing WITHOUT knowing where the ace you just played came from!
Ul-ron “borrowed” the Argonite from the Revenant… odds that Tyler either has some ON HIM, or has an antagonist to reverse it’s effect?
Argonite doesn’t grow on trees. I imagine the Revenant had to jump through quite a few loops to “obtain” that sample of Argonite (assuming he wasn’t given it by Atlas as a precaution in case of mind control). That was the only sample of Argonite on Argos, so if he wants more Dax-Ra would need to return to Earth.
SPOILER: Ron’s depowering is permanent. While it is conceivable that Doc Positron and Dr. Newby might try to reverse the effect, Doc Positron has stated (in his column accompanying the individual issues, “Ask Dr. Positron”) that no one really understands where superpowers come from. If only there were someone who has a superpower that allows him or her to detect people with superpowers…

“Well… this looks bad for business…”
“This looks bad for everyone…”
Argonaut, “This looks bad for me…”
Moon Shadow, “This looks bad for the both of us…”

And now Lord Dax-Ra’s true villainy is revealed!
Tons of SPOILERS follow (redacted of course!):

Spoil(er) the planet. Love it.
It does sound like something Zodon’s profanity filter would spit out, doesn’t it?
He was never a threat. An opportunity, actually…
Opportunity for what, you’ll have to wait to find out.
I have to question the spoiler filter… I can now identify the test makers. Understanding motives are a guessing game either way.

Destroyed…? o_o
Somebody get Dr. Newby on the phone like NOW!
So is this permanent like gold kryptonite was to superman or does he just need time to work it out of his system?
As yet unanswered. I hate having to wait for the next trade.
I thought you had months, if not years, of advance knowledge on the series since you purchased the graphic novel saga.
Don’t hold out on us bro, surely Argo or Clarinet is packing some kind of heat in future issues.
You don’t own ” Saving alternate Omaha”? You can get it on-line.
It would appear the store link is busted.

this ray isn’t argonite, its only based on argonite

The effect of the ray on Ron’s Argosian superpowers is permanent. However, Ron’s mom, Lisa Larsen is human…
Use DriveThruRPG instead of the Evil Amazon Corp with the Mega-Villain Bezos in charge…

SPOILERS!!!
Reminding everyone that Ron’s mom is human isn’t a spoiler; we’ve known that since issue #1! 🙂
