Oh Zarhon, you don’t need to feel shame for being a Trekkie. πŸ˜›

Alt-Zodon is indeed correct. It is from “The Squire of Gothos”, and was made by Kirk to Trelane during the courtroom scene (IIRC).

Never, Never show shame, be proud to be a TREKKIE!!!!

        There that felt better.

Never give up, never surrender . . .knowing Star Trek info.

You do realize that “Never give up – never surrender” comes from “Galaxy Quest”, the film that takes the mickey out of Trekkies, right? πŸ™‚

And as for you, Dan… NEVER! πŸ˜›

Since in the end the Trekkies (Questies) save the day, I would say “making fun of treckies” does not quite fits it.

It was pretty clear to us that Galaxy Quest was a spoof of Trekkies, by Trekkies, for Trekkies. We do not resent it. πŸ™‚

It was a fun movie with some genuinely profound scenes. I liked it. ^^ Why feel shame for enjoying something that harms no one and made you smile?

Hi, A good line is good line . . .to snatch.

besides GQ was a fun movie to watch, once.

Mr Takhei’s review of Galaxy Quest and in context of Trek conventions was a delight in Time magazine, I think. The main review called the movie a love letter to Trek fandom. πŸ™‚

Galaxy Quest is a film that’s for Trekkies by Trekkies. Hell it’s better then anything of live action Trek made in the past few years.

Maybe Star Trek’s not considered nerdy in the alternate universe?

Even In our universe not all Trekkie are Nerds. Many are Geeks.

I wonder what kind of person the Valiant Lance (or Vance, if you prefer) will be, once it has finished the transition from obedient device to sentient and free-willed entity…?

Well, that’s one way to deal with space beasts… although, side effects may include ravenous hunger and feelings of squidgyness.

It’s life, Jim, but not as we know it, not as we know it, not as we know it. It’s life Jim, but not as we know it, not as we know it, Captain.

πŸ˜› Thought that verse was slightly more apt.

“Please have your food and beverage choices ready,” is the perfect absurd-but-fitting humor for the situation. And “Show at least some shame for knowing that” doesn’t offend me at all. I can’t remember any quotes, except from Galaxy Quest and Spaceballs, and from Doctor Who. I’m just wired for comedy. Thanks. I’ve missed this comic, and wish I could still get it at my local comic shop.

β€œPlease have your food and beverage choices ready,” reminds me of HGTG as well

I really do love this comic. I hope having a Gravatar adds to the attraction.
