Clearly, shrinking stuff makes it extraordinarily tough, since there’s no way the metal would stretch like that normally.

Given the place they’re in, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was some kind of extra-strong super-metal.

The principle you mentioned is the basis for Micro Might’s/Ms. Kyle’s powers.

Actually, you’d be surprised how malleable even steel can be.

Even the earth’s mightiest heroes decorate with crummy looking fake house plants.

      Fake?

That house plant could well be a member of the Earth Defense League…

You know, I wasn’t thinking much when I made that joke about the plant, but I love your idea that It’s actually a member of the EDL. That would be hilarious.

I mean, it’s just the stem. The plant proper could look drastically different.

it would really suck to find out that Zodon didnt do anything more than launch a Tyler specific security protocol that was already in the system.

Getting a real Archie & Jughead vibe from those two

While it was probably unintentional, I think the shrunken vent cover is actually a better tactic: It can presumably be reversibly unshrunk quickly from inside, whereas getting the shrunken screws back into the holes and unshrinking them individually from the inside would be a time-consuming, onerous, and perhaps impossible task.

Except it’s now been stretched due to the shrinking process, it would be extremely unlikely after that event that it would unshrink back to good as new condition.
