    He didn’t understand the explanation after all. Reverent should have added woman don’t even like to be suspected of work done either.

      He seemed a bit embarrassed about the whole thing. As awkward as a TV-dad talking about The Birds & The Bees. Surely people aren’t really unable to explain human preening & mating rituals to kids? It seems a pretty easy-to-explain topic to me, but I am a country girl.

        His name is “Revenant”. I’ve always suspected that means he’s been around for a long time and might just be a bit “old fashioned”.
