Yep – a cardboard tube, but no ordinary card board tube, it’s a toilet roll cardboard tube … 🙂
Anyhow, this Zodon does not have anywhere near enough swearing capacity – something is awry!
and … what’s with the daily updates? I thought this was a once-every-three-days type webcomic process. Don’t get me wrong, I love daily, but I don’t want all the suprises gone in just on year – this is my second fave webcomic out here in the interwebs at the moment … 🙂
Looks like Aaron is catching up with a backlog. Normally they would have gone up earlier; you can tell by the dates of the comics (right above the date/time the comic was posted). So we are at the same point in the story as if they had been posted on the intended date.
I noticed one thing about this comic: There are always at least 3 stories running.
One is the current. The second is about to become urgent. And the third has it’s groundwork laid for it.
Right now Zodon’s alternate reality is one of the priamries. It has been in builup since “Secret of the S.I.T.S.” (we heard of Zodons parents being someplace else and Victor got the Plans he needs for his Godmachine)
The other primary is “Moonshadow and Argonaut in Space”. It’s been in builtup since Argonauts parents got divorced.
It seems likely that dealing with Preatorian Academy will become a urgent problem soon. Herschel/PS238 is collecting intel, as is our intrepid Van Frogg.
It’s been in buildup since we first saw those dudes in the armor.
I guess the Visor from the Interdimensional Cops is another future plot in the making.
The plot around Atlas 2 seems to be in phase 1 too.
This issue is like a circus performer juggling four lit torches at once. Next issue, all four torches will be tossed into a vat of nitroglycerin. 😀
Zodon’s secret has been hinted at before. The Crystal Skull and Zodon’s space station both knew what it was. And the Praetorian Academy/ The Headmaster plot has been brewing since the free giveaway printed in Vol. 2.
Forak’s plot is that he’s not interested in having a plot. He just wants to hang out with friends his own age, play some MMOs and not be bossed around by a nine year old who’s as strong as some of the most powerful members of the Royal line.
The “visor” Captain Murg gave Ambriel is not a future plot device, it’s a MacGuffin/ deus ex machina .
It’s not a future plot device that you know of, at least. Connecting to that group could be a very important plot point in an as-yet unpublished (or even unwritten) arc.
I don’t think it’s a “children” thing so much as the Von Fogg’s view everything as a technological problem. The idea that the solution might be informational, or social in nature probably never dawns on any of them!
A good minion supports genius without, in any way, being a threat or any kind of competition. A GREAT minion does all that, at JUST the right moment, too.
I think Atlas 2 has a future in minionhood, by this example…
🙂
Forak’s been a minion before. It had lousy pay and an awful boss. No thanks! He’d rather help start a movement to make Earth’s superheroes [SPOILERS FOR ISSUE #51 REDACTED]. And go bowling.

The updates hung up for about three weeks, then pulsed multiple pages. It happens sometimes, usually around the end of one issue/start of another.

So I doubt we run out of stories anytime soon.

Ah, yet more proof that ‘supergenius’ is just another way of spelling ‘idiot’.
Nope. She just got stuck in the wrong approach to a problem.
You know that is a not uncommon problem for Children.
Children? Too many adults have this one as well.
Yes, a brilliant child is still a child, with limited experience and emotional maturity.

dont you just love it when the idiot has the right idea i think atlas 2 is gunna get a job offer 🙂
