to be fair, one kid thrashing bullies rarely stops therm bullying. It (usually) stops them victimising that particular kid, but stopping them in general requires the school to pay attention, and start punishing bullies that get caught. (and, incidentally, if someone claims to have been bullied, then do at least some basic investigation rather than- just because the kid can’t offer sufficient proof to stand up in court right off the bat- decide nothing can be done.
Or worse, punish the one who was being bullied because “it takes two people to have a fight,” thus ensuring that no one is willing to even tell the faculty when bullying occurs.
