Ah, petty tin-pot politicos, stomping around and making noise and threatening children to show off how powerful they are.
Do you all suppose Agent Bain thinks of himself as the hero in this situation? Making a level 9 intellect fix his car by threatening legal action against a kid having a hard time coping with his parents’ divorce?
Personally, I think any judge would likely just give the kid’s parents a slap on the wrist at most. Prosecuting a kid for acting out when, technically, you’re in the wrong is just petty and stupid. Every kid has a right to have their parents there when being questioned about something like a missing persons case. The fact that Ron’s parents weren’t informed and given a chance to come be with Ron is pretty telling about this guy.
They were informed, and they were probably present, and the meeting probably got them arguing again.
Ron’s Mom specified the meeting when putting Ron to bed, right before he slammed his bedside drawer shut so “gently” it only cracked the wall behind it.
