That’s the same look I see on crushing students that want their crush to join them some how.
She doesn’t know ambassador. But she might want to know what consort is too.
This panel looks like it got slightly trimmed around the edges, so the footnote apparently got cut off. Must have been a reference to the issue where the PS238 students took a field trip to the moon.
I’m betting that this prints as part of a two-page spread and the footnote will be on Fridays page, but yeah, when it shows up it’ll be pointing to Field Trip and Shop Class.
The asterisk was supposed to lead to a footnote indicating either issue #4 or #10 of PS238. The problem is that its a continuity error, since Tyler was in space twice. I’m assuming he’s referring to Angie’s ship, but Dax’s ship is nicer than both the shuttle he took to the Moon and Angie’s ship.
Consort can just mean some one you are romantically involved with, who is beneath you on the status lader. They are not married. Do not put those images in our heads.
Everyone’s too distracted by Dax adding fuel to the 84-Moonshadow shippers and Aaron Williams’ continuity goof and editing error to notice that Cecil’s right hand reaching into his overcoat in panel three…
Well, last time we saw Cecil he was holding the shrink ray gun in his right hand (while looking around and asking where Moon Shadow and 84 went); I figured he was putting it away.
It isn’t odd at all. Remember what his parents are like and that they’ve already got the child they always wanted. Having two of Tyler around is awkward for both of them.
Well he doesn’t live with his parents, though the school might notice him gone, and Toby will definitely notice him gone. I’d assume Toby will call of Cecil and he will cover for him, and then Toby will cover for him for the school and his parents. Mind you his parents wouldn’t know Tyler was gone unless Toby told them anyway.
Cecil isn’t on speaking terms with Toby. Because of his sheer power, Toby gives off really unsettling vibes to Cecil. (By contrast, now that he knows what his superpower is, Cecil is much more comfortable being around more typical meta-prodigies, as seen in issues 42 and 43.)
Tyler lives in the dorms at PS238; he’s concluded that its safer to hang out there (especially when Ambriel’s around and Zodon isn’t) than it is to live with his parents, who barely remember he exists now that Toby has made their dreams come true.
Yes… Cecil does LOVE his souvenirs (wonder what it is this time?)!
AS far as school goes… SOME of the teachers know he’s Moonshadow (and the principle is a telepath), so that shouldn’t present a problem.
Did no one noticed the typo? “Your parents called the nearest air force base to complain when someone useD the braking thrusters too close to the ground”
Consort noun
1. a husband or wife; spouse, especially of a reigning monarch. Compare prince consort, queen consort.
…
4. a companion, associate, or partner: a confidant and consort of heads of state.
Regardless of what Dax meant, I’m sure the kids would assume (4).
That’s the same look I see on crushing students that want their crush to join them some how.

(I see an asterisk, but no footnote.)
Me neither. It irks me.
It’s in one of the first ten chapters. I don’t remember exactly which one – I think #4 or 5.

Moonshadow has never been in space… that i remember. But Tyler have been twice in issues 04.Field Trip to the Moon and 10.Shop Class

It’s a reference to Angie’s Hatchblaster/Space Station. He’s actually been in space multiple times, and may have been born on the EDL’s Lunar Base.
The line would have read better as “Yeah, but this ship is a lot nicer than all of the other ones.”
Coooooool…
That was supposed to be a reply to prairie son.
…
Consort.
*headdesk*
or *facepalm*
Consort means spouse. Its typically used as “X’s Consort” where X is a title like emperor, king, queen, ambassador, etc.
So, they just got married under argosian law… does the USA recognize argosian marriages?
Consort can just mean some one you are romantically involved with, who is beneath you on the status lader. They are not married. Do not put those images in our heads.
Yep, when I first read ‘consort’, I facepalmed so hard it hurt.
if you are needing the facepalm then they do mostly hurt. there’s almost no way to mean a facepalm and not get hurt doing it.
Everyone’s too distracted by Dax adding fuel to the 84-Moonshadow shippers and Aaron Williams’ continuity goof and editing error to notice that Cecil’s right hand reaching into his overcoat in panel three…
He’s not reaching… he’s stowing the shrunk chair ;D Notice Lord Dax scratching his head in confusion?
Well, last time we saw Cecil he was holding the shrink ray gun in his right hand (while looking around and asking where Moon Shadow and 84 went); I figured he was putting it away.
I bet it is the command chair of the spaceship
Moon shadow seems fine with spending an extended amount of time away from home. Ood.

That doesn’t mean Cecil can’t phone Toby.
But that would mean revealing to Toby that Tyler is secretly Moonshadow. Does that sound like a good idea to you?
Yes… Cecil does LOVE his souvenirs (wonder what it is this time?)!
AS far as school goes… SOME of the teachers know he’s Moonshadow (and the principle is a telepath), so that shouldn’t present a problem.
And the Revenant can inform somebody Miss Kyle or another teacher in the know about Tyler’s being gone.
I wonder what they’ll do when they find out the meaning of the word “consort” =P
I’ve read this issue, and they never do. They just speculate on the next page.
Feh, how disappointing.

Wouldn’t matter. According to Dictionary.com:
Consort
noun
1. a husband or wife; spouse, especially of a reigning monarch. Compare prince consort, queen consort.
…
4. a companion, associate, or partner: a confidant and consort of heads of state.
Regardless of what Dax meant, I’m sure the kids would assume (4).
So does this count as a first date?
