Oops, I found a mistake. “On our planet, people ask questions …”
Do you want to try Google? Cute! Hook up the Sonic dohickey and see how it does. Is Doctor Proton still as the school? He knows something about computers. Maybe he can help.
The only real difference between Zodon’s waste of time and Z’ waste of time is that Zodon’s gets everyone involved over the fate of (at least) a state. Ultimately Zodon and his counterpart are merely passing the time.
At last, the moment we’ve all been waiting for… the Origin of Zodon! That’s right PS238 fans, on the next page Zodon will spill the beans to his alternate universe doppelganger about why he became a supervillain, why he exiled his parents to this other universe, what happened to alternate Zodon’s parents, make a “Lost” reference, and explain how he ended up arrested by the TDDD and enrolled in PS238. All those shiny candy colored answers are on the next page! (And maybe the page after. The explanation is a bit long-winded.) There will be angst, puppy dog eyes, and some hugging. š
Okay, I’m now completely dedicated to getting you removed from this site. You know “spoil” means to ruin the pleasure of something, right? Who are you to ruin Aaron’s work for all the rest of us?
There’s also the issue that it’s kind of impossible to spoil something that’s been out for years at this point. Internet etiquette limits spoilers to a year, and even that’s stretching things.
@GameDamsel: Because I want people to support Aaron by buying his books! He’s nice enough to post comics that were published over five years ago, a page at a time, but that doesn’t change the fact that these books were published over five years ago! Unless the trades are completely out of print, there is no reason a PS238 fan can’t buy a copy on Amazon or eBay.
Commenting, claiming to want to push people to buy, to avoid being spoiled is a tissue-thin rationalization here. I could argue for it including rationalizations#13, 17, and most of all #29 on the EA list at this point as a start. You should not be ‘guilting’ people for not having the paperbacks, you do not know their circumstances. I have an almost complete run of the loose issues and when this spoiling was being done I was in a long stretch of health and financial issues and did not deserve this mocking ‘help.’
(i know this comment is out of date, but commenters should not assume that people deserve to be spoiled. Mistakes happen in excitement, but make an effort as a kindness to new readers… Don’t you want new readers to stay or get turned off?)
Yes, in our dimension people ask questions to learn things. Unfortunately, there’s a lot of misinformation, and while some believing and understanding a few underlying concepts is better than understanding a thousand problems, others will sabotage your learning for a few laughs, and this will continue infinitely, many will be conditioned to stop asking questions, not because of hubris, but many the many people who believe in hubris, who are laying in wait bring the hammer of shame down upon anyone who is “not worthy” of “their” station. And, there are many people in this dimension who think they’re doing the work of their God(s) who will do everything in their power to provide not only a distraction, but maintain ignorance to a spectacular degree in pursuit of happiness they may never find. Which is why it is important to know all the underlying problems and concepts, fundamental relationships and ideals, the meaning of life the universe and everything else is equal to 42.
Although, admittedly, there is some debate as to whether or not the number should actually be divisible by nine. And, some have proposed the mark of the beast was illegible, thus meaning that the final number may have been inaccurate, and others have proposed that maybe we should see about developing a new form of mathematics where dividing by zero in the denominator is permissible.
Umm, 42 isn’t divisible by 9. Adams screwed that up in one of his books as well, where the Scrabble tiles spell out ‘what is six times nine’, which is 54.
In a sense 42 -is- divisible by 9, but not in Base10. 42(Base13) is equal to 54(Base10), a number which is most definitely divisible by 9 (and gives an answer of 6).
I think he actually references that in the last episode of the mini-series. The scrabble tiles spell out “What do you get if you multiply six by nine.” Arthur looks at it and says; “Six by nine? 42?” To which Ford responds; “I always said there was something fundamentally wrong about the universe!” I think Adams is pointing out that the “question” in Arthur’s head IS incorrect because he’s NOT decended from the actual life forms that were supposed to evolve on the planet/computer.

You criticize Aaron for his typos and yet you got Doctor Positron’s name wrong. *sigh*
Gaudere’s Law strikes again!
Doctor Proton? Isn’t he the bad guy in the original Duke Nukem? (I mean, the original. Not Duke 3D.)
Alien computer discovers cat memes, and Moon Shadow is never heard from again.

Well, maybe he doesn’t consider it a “spoiler” since he’s not actually telling us what Zodon is going to say.
There’s also the issue that it’s kind of impossible to spoil something that’s been out for years at this point. Internet etiquette limits spoilers to a year, and even that’s stretching things.
So itĀ“s allowed to spoil, alright, but in my opinion itĀ“s still very impolite and inconsiderate of othersĀ“ feelings.
Even if you could, couldn’t he just create a new user name to sign in with?
Why do you get such pleasure out of being a jerk to people who don’t own the hardcopies?
Take a good, long look in the mirror and examine your small and miserable soul.
So support Aaron by buying his comic. You can get it here: http://www.amazon.com/PS238-IX-Saving-Alternate-Omaha/dp/0984792902/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1391214438&sr=1-1&keywords=ps+238

Take advice from your non super powered version. He has lots of money and a better life than you and he can’t even make half of the things you do.
(yes the super smart one has lots of other stuff but you wouldn’t exactly call him happy or enjoying his life would you?)

You don’t need any new form of mathematics. All you need to do is realize that the universe was meant to be interpreted in base 13.
