    No single page shows the contrast between Ron and Julie more.

      It’s not like Ron is always like this, he’s depressed because his parents are divorcing and he blames himself.

    I just realized the subtlety in this drawing, that Ron’s cloak is clearly several sizes too big to drag on the floor like this, like clothing too big for him. Showing he’s doing this costumed thing FOR his parents and it doesn’t fit him.

      If I’m not mistaken, it’s been like this the whole time. But, yeah, this page really puts it into sharp relief.
