Quite likely, which means Ron’s powers aren’t gone just suppressed and he could have them restored.
Given how his life was before, being a pawn of the Headmaster and his general conflicted nature over being a super, it’s probably actually better for Ron NOT to have his powers restored and remain basically human.
Yeah, he needs at least five years to mature a little and get a handle on things in his life before he decides if he wants a superhero career. Maybe if he meets another kid of divorce who blames themselves he night understand it wasn’t him.
Several of these kids would do better as just plain kids. Some never will be.
You’re on the path, but Cecil will explain it in a few pages.
Yes, Cecil being intelligent and reasonable. It’s not that bad, please come in off the window ledge.

I’ll come off the ledge if you promise to cut down on the spoilers, please?

Prairie Son: You know perfectly well that most people here are viewing these pages for the first time. So basic human decency dictates you lay off the spoilers on this particular forum (but obviously not elsewhere).
It wasn’t published on this Web site, so the spoiler effect has not lapsed for us puny mortals who weren’t blessed with the opportunity to purchase access to it before now.
Please don’t post spoilers.
A thought occurs to me, what if Ron is holding his powers back unknowningly? Sort of like the year Superman was just Clark Kent (to be fair, Clark didn’t know if he was doing it to himself as well, to give himself a vacation from being a superhero).

I thought that happens to everyone’s software.

Nah, that’s just the natural reaction to being sentient 😛

Waaaaait a moment. The power-detector kid asks Tyler if he’s sure about Ron losing his powers?
Something tells me Ron still shows up as powered to Cecil’s own power…

Maybe he will split into a red and blue Ron

To be fair if any of us got a personal cloaking device we’d all probably want to get some serious millage out of it.

How to date your comic, lesson 1: put in pop culture references to one-hit “wonders” who’ll be forgotten entirely ten years later.

Side note: make it’s in the form of a joke with the most common complaint about that singer, eg LOL SHE SURE WAS BAD AT SINGING as seen here.
Faust
I won’t bother using google to check that reference.

Heh. that explains a lot about that song, if it triggers superhero security software

I mean, she still has a good million followers…

So who wants to place bets that Ron already has his powers back, and is keeping quiet? Although the video game thing puts a crimp in that idea…

I think the DNA for his powers are switched off. Easy fix.
koboldskeep
That’s actually an interesting idea, since Cecil is hinting at it. Ron has a LOT of reasons to want to live without his powers.
