Finally, the meaning of background gamma radiation will be revealed! (in poetic form, no less)
So he plans on doing a little destructive testing. Convert a universe to energy to fuel his efforts to find out why he is modifying that same universe in ways other than he intends when he is not in charge of that universe. I just see this as counter productive somehow.
That’s not his plan. His plan is to use the Ultimate Negatory to consume the matter in alternate universes and convert that matter into energy to power the Machina Deus, become a god and take over the world. The problem he’s been having is that when he turns the Machina Deus on, ruling the world becomes so petty, while the other things he’s been doing become more urgent.
It’s a parody/homage to Thanos using the Infinity Gauntlet in the eponymous mini-series. When Thanos decided to become one with reality, he left his body comatose and became one of the “Abstracts”, the powerful beings like Death, Eternity, and the Living Tribunal; the problem was that the source of his power remained in the Infinity Gauntlet, which was still on his wrist. His “granddaughter” Nebula, snatched the Gauntlet off of Thanos’ comatose body and put it on, forcing Thanos’ consciousness back into his corporeal body. Presumably, Thanos could have prevented Nebula from grabbing the Gauntlet, but Adam Warlock hypothesized that on a subconscious level, Thanos wanted to be defeated. Maybe Victor’s subconscious is also responsible for his fiascoes with the Machina Deus.
He’s a von Fogg… they hold the world patent rights to “counter-productive” (they likely stole them from all the other patent holders, tho).
Wow — I can’t tell you how many times this has happened to me at work.
I am sorry, even a kid with this sort of power should be put down straight away.
He wants to destroy an entire universe to power some science experiment.
Either kill him, or brain wipe his meglomanic self into a vegetable.
It’s not as bad as it looks. Wait and see…
You must really, really, hate Pokemon and Hunter x Hunter then. Children as young as ten years old with access to unimaginable powers cosmic. Especially that trained assassin Killuah and that second generation prodigy Gon.
there is something very disturbing about a fatherless 10 year old being kicked out of the house by his mother to go on an adventure because a tv show she was watching said “all young men have to leave home at some time” going on to enslaving the gods and making them beat puppies into coma for fun
She needs a servant to mop up that dripping sarcasm. I hear the condescending tone seems very familiar in my mind…
Personally I think that the Greek pantheons looked a like demented stage magicians if “all the world [was] a play”.
Kids explaining themselves never seem able to explain things well enough to explain why.
I concur, the Greek Pantheon have always been somewhat demented.
at least norse gods are just too busy to give a shit about earth. the greeks are actively dicks
I must be awfully humid with the sarcasm condescending so much it’s dripping all over the place. XP
It’s the Cosmic Cube dilemma again. Once you gain omniscience, it takes a lot of precious minutes to gain an hold on yourself, and meanwhile an aged Captain Marvel will karate-smash your Cube.
Not to mention the problem of gaining omnipotence with the Infinity Gauntlet, only to have Nebula snatch it off your comatose body.
Oh I wonder what his favorite shade of infra plaid is XD
Hmm, how evil. Plaid is banned by all advanced civilisations because it drives AI insane and impedes telepathy.
You I like. That was great.
I wasnt aware plaid blocked telepathy. Now I know why kilts covered the parts they thought with.
The potential for making plad hats out of the different colours that modern tin foil comes in can not be over stated given the number of people afraid of mind control etc. plus those people desperately need more fashion options.
Hmm, somebody a Buck Godot fan, by any chance?
Yeah, too bad they did not show the story of Godot trying to get out of Jury Duty. it was too funny and black and white.
Not sure if this is the place to mention his but i recently discovered the league of super redundant heroes. I really like it. I haven’t read Evil Inc in years so i can’t really compare the two series, but it’s a lot of fun.
